Known for mentoring burgeoning application developers on the FileMaker Community forum and volunteering time at the Central Ohio FileMaker User Group, Beargie was also recognized for releasing a free iOS app that offers plugin-type functions to FileMaker Go users, organizing and speaking at several developers conferences nationwide (including Pause on Error and this year’s FileMaker DevCon), as well as delivering a presentation in French to the Montreal FileMaker user group.
“I was honored to be recognized by the FileMaker Community for these contributions. Meeting with developers across the country has solidified my belief that the FileMaker community is strong, unified and innovative,” Beargie said. “It’s equally rewarding for me to learn from the many developers that I meet and help, as I learn from their outlook and point of view on development. FileMaker is a platform that embraces developers of all skill levels and from all walks of life, so the diversity in this community is staggering.”
